The work

What electronics assemblers do in simulation.

We build the task in simulation. You show how it is done, correct the robot where it goes wrong and set what counts as done right. Robotics teams train their own models on the result.

01

Demonstrate

Show how a component is oriented, placed and soldered, or how a harness is built, using the controls provided.

02

Correct robot mistakes

Review robot attempts and flag defects such as a cold joint, bridging, wrong polarity or a lifted lead.

03

Set the criteria

Define acceptable and reject conditions for each task, using the IPC class the project calls for.

Who qualifies

What we ask for.

  • 3 or more years in electronics or cable and harness assembly
  • IPC-A-610, J-STD-001 or IPC/WHMA-A-620 certification
  • Based in the US
  • Able to explain the steps, checks and common mistakes in your work
  • No robotics, simulation or coding background needed
Pay and hours

How the work runs.

Rate
$45–60/hr for project work, depending on experience.
Hours
Part-time. You tell us how many hours a week you can give when you apply.
Where
Remote. Most contributions happen on a computer. Timing and equipment depend on the project and are set out before it starts.
Payment
For completed work. Scope, time and payment terms are agreed before you begin.
Contract
The application asks whether you can work as an independent contractor where you live.

We match people to upcoming projects. Applying does not guarantee an assignment.

FAQ

Questions from electronics assemblers.

Can electronics assemblers make money training AI?

Yes. This role pays $45–60/hr, depending on experience, for part-time project work on a computer. You demonstrate component placement and soldering, and judge robot work against IPC in simulation. Scope, hours and payment terms are agreed before each project starts.

Is there remote work for electronics technicians?

Bench assembly isn't remote, but this is. Most contributions happen on a computer. Timing and equipment depend on the project and are set out before it starts.

Will robots replace electronics assemblers?

Machines already place most surface-mount parts. Hand assembly, rework and harness building still need people, and robots learn those from them.

Do I need robotics or coding experience?

No. Each project gives you the instructions and controls for the task. We need your knowledge of the work.

How do I apply?

Fill in the application. It takes about 5 minutes and asks about your experience, your hours and one mistake a beginner makes in your work that you would spot right away. When a project needs your expertise, we reach out.
