Certified Welder, MIG or TIG
Robot welders run fixed paths well and struggle when a joint is off. Welders adjust without thinking. You show torch angle, travel and how to handle a bad fit-up in simulation.

What welders do in simulation.
We build the task in simulation. You show how it is done, correct the robot where it goes wrong and set what counts as done right. Robotics teams train their own models on the result.
Demonstrate
Show torch angle, travel speed and sequence for a joint, using the controls provided.
Correct robot mistakes
Pick up where a robot weld went wrong, such as a gap it did not adjust for or the wrong sequence, and show what you would do.
Set the criteria
Define what a good bead looks like for each joint and which conditions should stop the weld.
What we ask for.
- 5 or more years of production or fabrication welding
- AWS certification in MIG (GMAW) or TIG (GTAW)
- Based in the US
- Able to explain the steps, checks and common mistakes in your work
- No robotics, simulation or coding background needed
How the work runs.
- Rate
- $55–75/hr for project work, depending on experience.
- Hours
- Part-time. You tell us how many hours a week you can give when you apply.
- Where
- Remote. Most contributions happen on a computer. Timing and equipment depend on the project and are set out before it starts.
- Payment
- For completed work. Scope, time and payment terms are agreed before you begin.
- Contract
- The application asks whether you can work as an independent contractor where you live.
We match people to upcoming projects. Applying does not guarantee an assignment.

Can welders make money training AI?
Yes. This role pays $55–75/hr, depending on experience, for part-time project work on a computer. You demonstrate torch angle and travel, and correct robot weld paths in simulation. Scope, hours and payment terms are agreed before each project starts.
Is there remote work for welders?
Welding isn't remote, but this is. Most contributions happen on a computer. Timing and equipment depend on the project and are set out before it starts.
Will robots replace welders?
Robots already weld repeat parts on production lines. Custom work, repair and poor fit-up still need a welder, and robots get better only by learning from one.
Do I need robotics or coding experience?
No. Each project gives you the instructions and controls for the task. We need your knowledge of the work.
How do I apply?
Fill in the application. It takes about 5 minutes and asks about your experience, your hours and one mistake a beginner makes in your work that you would spot right away. When a project needs your expertise, we reach out.
